And it only made things tenser. Because when you try to push anxiety away, it only grows stronger. I know - I was there, and it took me a long while to get out. Without the right tools it's almost impossible. With the right tools it's entirely possible.

Instead of one method, I wove together mindfulness, Zen Buddhism, Qi Gong therapy and natural medicine with the wisdom of Ethiopian tradition, into one whole.

I come from tradition and know its power. I learned to work with body, soul and mind not separately but as one system - and this is not another technique you try, it's a way of life you return to.

This journey began on the day I couldn't breathe.

It continued through breakdown, illness and the pain of those closest to me. The wish to understand, to help, to live and to breathe led me down an unexpected path - at the end of which I found tools for balancing body and mind, and above all for mental health.
